MoE Participates in ICEE in KSA

The Ministry of Education (MoE) is participating in the International Conference & Exhibition for Education (ICEE) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center from 8 to 11 May, under the theme “Education in the Times of Crises – Potentials and Challenges.”

Through participating in the ICEE, the MoE aims to boost its participation in international events and fairs and highlight the efforts made by the UAE in the area of education. It will set up, therefore, a booth that showcases its leadership in education, with the participation of Zayed University, Khalifa University, Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, Sorbonne University, American University in Ras Al Khaimah, United Educational Publishing (UEP), and Nebras Education Holding.

The conference provides a platform for new trends, modern data, and modern applications in the fields of teaching and learning. It also highlights the continued introduction of digital skills into curricula, remote learning, “hybrid” education, and other topics that enrich the experiences of the UAE, from kindergarten and primary classes to the highest levels of education, research, and innovation.

Innovations and techniques

It also offers the latest innovations, technologies, and solutions, which will positively effect the quality and strong presence of decision-makers in the education sector and the targeted commercial visitors, through close partnership with all partners and investors in the public and private education sectors, commercial buyers, retailers, policy makers, and government officials.

The conference also serves as an effective communication channel between educational and cultural departments and institutions in KSA and their global counterparts. It also offers active interaction with the various categories of visitors and a chance to companies and institutions that provide services and products in the education sector to invest in infrastructure projects, research, and development.

Education sustainability

The themes of the sessions focus on serving the objectives of the conference, especially facing the challenges imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic and the epidemics that may spread in the future and how to deal with them to ensure the sustainability of education, develop the educational staff’s remote learning capabilities, and adapt to emerging conditions and crises.

The conference will also discusses the requirements for developing the infrastructure for remote learning, whether online or through educational channels. It also coordinates and activates cooperation between the concerned authorities, including the MoE, educational software companies, computer technology companies, and telecommunications companies.

Strategic cooperation

His Excellency Eng. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al-Hammadi, MoE Undersecretary for Performance Improvement, said that the ICEE was a global framework for communication, sharing expertise, according to the best global practices, and establishing joint cooperation and partnerships that would build the knowledge society and globalize and develop education.

H.E. explained that the strategic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the UAE in the field of education reflected the deeply rooted, historical relations between the two brotherly countries, which had been reinforced by the vision of their leadership and their future aspirations, to achieve sustainable development, growth, and prosperity in all fields, especially the educational sector.

H.E. Al-Hammadi stressed that the UAE, thanks to the directives of the wise leadership, boosted sustainability standards, knowledge society, and global competitiveness in various fields, on top of them education, technology, and innovation, to achieve national achievements He added that humans were a basic pillar in the UAE’s agenda to build educated, skilled generations through modern educational system, in line with the country’s vision and future strategy for the next 50 years.
